Deron L. Brown co-founded St.Martin Brown & Associates L.L.P. in December 2005. He has a Bachelor of Architecture from Louisiana State University. He is a member of the South Baton Rouge Design Team and was on Mayor Bobby Simpson’s Smart Growth Task Force. Furthermore, he is the coordinator of the Scotlandville Neighborhood Charrette. At Community Builders, Inc., Deron was a Vice President, responsible for assisting local non-profits, neighborhood organizations, faith based groups and for profit companies in creating and implementing mixed-use development plans. Deron received the A.P. Turead Milestone Award for significant first-time achievement at Louisiana State University and Martin Luther King Award for community outreach.

Reinventing the Crescent, New Orleans, Louisiana
In 2007, Post Hurricane Katrina, St .Martin Brown and Associates was retained to serve as 1 of 7 consulting firms to develop a master plan for a contiguous 6.5 mile stretch of the New Orleans River Front. Reinventing the Crescent has won a national 2008 ASLA (American Society of Landscape Architects) Honor Award in Analysis and Planning

Prepared zoning analysis and site plan options for the 1500 mixed income development plan.
New Orleans Neighborhood Plans, New Orleans Louisiana
Lead Urban Planner for Planning Districts 7, 9, 10 and 11 inclusive of Eastern New Orleans, Florida, Desire, St.Claude and St. Roch areas.

Served as lead Planner for St.Martin Brown and Associates who was retained to develop a strategic planning approach and overall master plan for the universities two north and south campus

As appointed Urban Design Consultant, Deron functioned as liaison between community members and the city government of Baton Rouge, coordinated and performed Neighborhood Charrettes for all sub-zones of the city, and performed data collection and analysis for a Blight Elimination Team. Deron served on the Mayors Smart Growth Task Force where he worked with developer's educators and other professionals in creating strategies to prevent sprawl and develop healthy communities in Baton Rouge. He also served on the GIS Board; this board was responsible for creating a graphic system to house all of the cities data.

As Urban Design Consultant and Technology Specialist, Deron assisted in community based design projects and assisted students in integrating computer techniques into their design projects.
**Community Builders Inc, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Served as Vice-President of CBI which was a development company that assisted local Non-Profit and faith based organizations in developing their communities. This company provided services such as administrative assistance, project management, site acquisition, construction management and urban design.
**Hope Six Development., Baton Rouge, Louisiana
City representative for 14M grant for neighborhood revitalization and cultural preservation.
**Plan Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge, Louisiana
Created base and figure ground maps for neighborhood revitalization and cultural preservation which sparked over $900M in development in the downtown district of Baton Rouge.

As Development Partner and Project Architect, Deron worked on a 61-unit single-family detached housing tax credit subdivision
